I have a love hate relationship with New York during the winter. On one hand, I love it because I never had seasons growing up so its still exciting. On the other hand, I hate it because some days drop to low 30’s and I have to be ready to layer. Obviously growing up in Southern California and never experiencing real cold I never had practice with fur, layering or coats. It’s been during my time in NYC that I’ve finally learned how to dress for the cold weather. One of my favorite things is fur because you don’t have to wear a ton of layers to keep warm. Today I simply threw on my shearling coat and that’s all I needed…the coyote hat also helped!
Tengo una relación de amor y odio con Nueva York durante el invierno. Por un lado, me encanta porque nunca he tenido temporadas de invierno. Por otro lado, lo odio porque algunos días la temperatura cae a 30 grados y tengo que estar lista para no morirme de frío. Obviamente habiendo crecido en el sur de California nunca tuve un verdadero invierno así que nunca aprendi a abrigarme muy bien. Ha sido durante mi tiempo en Nueva York que finalmente he aprendido cómo vestirme para frío. Una de mis cosas favoritas son los abrigos de piel , ya que no tengo que usar un mil de capas para mantener el calor . Hoy simplemente me puse mi abrigo de piel de oveja y eso es todo lo que necesitaba … el sombrero de coyote también ayudó!
