This Sunday we paid a visit to the Kings County Distillery in Brooklyn. It was such a beautiful day in NYC so I took advantage of the weather and pulled out a dress I bought last week. We walked from our apartment to the Navy Yard and found the distillery which was in a beautiful old brick building. I found that even more interesting than the actual distilling happening inside, were all the bottles and the decor! The whole places was filled with these glass bottles. Some of them contained “mystery liquid” which were batches in the experimental stage, some of them had terrariums and of course some of them were filled with Bourbon.

Coach Spring 2015 RTW

Opening Spring 2015 RTW #NYFW was Coach by Stuart Vevers. The line presented at 9:00 am Thursday morning and was decorated in “little monsters” created by artist Gary Baseman. The characters were sprinkled over sweaters, bags, dresses and leather jackets. Notorious for outerwear, Coach presented some amazing pieces made from synthetic long “monkey fur” and printed ocelot in wacky pastel colors. Low heeled clogs and mini skirts adorned the Coach girl making it a very bare leg collection.

If it wasn’t clear by the Route 66 backdrop, Vevers referred to “Paris, Texas” and Patricia Arquette as Alabama Whitman in “True Romance” as a source of inspiration. The 70’s hairstyle and twiggy like bangs really completed the look .
